The first website in the world

About 28 years ago, the Internet hosted only one website (WorldWideWeb)

It was launched by British physicist Tim Berners-Lee from Switzerland on August 8, 1991.

Although the site created by Tim was not the same as the sites we currently see,

He wanted to share information online with other scientists,

But it was an important point in the world of the Internet and the sites we currently know.

By the end of 1992 the Internet had only about 10 sites,

They became a few thousand after 1994, when Yahoo emerged as a search engine and provided email services.

Although the growth of the number of sites was modest during the first 10 years

However, it has seen successive spikes after 2000, which have seen a spike in numbers after 2011 and have grown so dramatically to this day.
